The floors creak a little and the lift has history, which is precisely why it never feels anonymous. The pool garden is a small miracle in central Bolzano and Luna gives every evening a reason to stay in.
Best for
A first visit, city walks, gelato, restaurants and excursions by train or cable car.

Miramonti: hard to find, hard to forget.
You do not come merely to sleep. The infinity pool, onsen, forest and service reduce the day willingly to a view, a sauna and a long dinner.

Three nights in Bolzano followed by two or three above Merano creates a natural arc: explore first, then slow down. If you must choose, decide whether you want to keep going out or happily return inside.

When should you visit South Tyrol?
